Writing Every Day

Writing Unique Content

Writing Unique Content

I’ve made it a personal goal of mine to write every day for the sites I have setup.  It’s certainly not an easy thing to do but in the long run I believe it’s going to payoff.  I’ve read a lot of hugely successful online marketer’s blogs.  They all have different advice, stratagies and success stories, and most of them contradict each other to no end!  I have seen two common themes from these different points of view that do matchup.  Write new content often and try different things.

Writing Unique Content

In this post I will talk about writing a bit.  Writing for me comes fairly easy because I don’t worry about what readers will think.  Anybody can have an opinion on my writing skills but I understand that individual’s opinions on my writing don’t matter.  Writing content is one path I have decided to take to achieve online success.  If I cared what each person thinks of my writing I would drive myself insane.  I have to be confident in my ability to write and really not care what anyone thinks.  That will make sitting down and typing out a few WordPress articles a day easy.  The guys over at SEOBook recently wrote an article about writing that reinforce my thoughts on writing content for my sites.

Writing content is the easiest, most proven way of building a reputation on the internet.  If you are a big corporation and can finance a huge marketing campaign, then that would obviously be the easier route.  But for a small startup, writing content, using good SEO and branding yourself is an inexpensive, realistic way of building an online presence.  I’ve decided to go the more inexpensive route, therefore, I need to set tasks for myself and I have to make those tasks as easy as possible to accomplish.

Two Articles a Day

My goal is to write two articles a day for my blogs, not counting this blog.  An article at this point takes me about a half hour to write (give or take.)  So, with this blog thrown in the mix, about an hour and a half a day devoted to writing articles is not a bad investment to make.  The main thing for me is practice.  Practice makes perfect and I think with enough practice writing articles, I can be very good at creating unique, SEO’ed content that my visitors will love to read on a daily basis.  Once that happens the rest is cake.
