Build a Niche Store

I’ve been using the Build a Niche Store (BANS) technology for about a month now and I’m really impressed with the results I have had.  The system is super easy to use and it’s definately the route to go if your’e looking for an easy way to get into affiliate marketing.

The Build a Niche Store system is an affiliate system created specifically for eBay’s affiliate program.  The eBay partner network is known as one of the most successful affiliate programs on the web.  With programs for several countries, including the U.S., and with some of the most generous pay outs available, the eBay partner network makes it easy to build an online marketing presence without having a lot of experience or exposure.

The reason I like using BANS is it is basically a CMS (Content Management System) in and of itself.  The Build a Niche Store system allows you to change any page created by the system and add your own pages yourself.  It is definately the most flexible eBay partner network systems available and incorparates a WYSIWIG (What You See Is What You Get) editor for all pages that you create.  The BANS system offers easy SEO (Search Engine Optimization) options like keywords, titles and descriptions.

The biggest mistake made by webmasters is using the Build a Niche Store system “out of the box.”  That is, a webmaster installs the system in a directory, plugs in an eBay category number they decide to promote, and just walk away and wait for search engines to index them.  This used to work with the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages) but search engines always catch on to the latest trends.  Now if you simply use an out-of-the-box BANS install you can expect to be quickly de-indexed by search engines, especially Google.

Instead, you need to focus first on creating unique content on your site.  One method marketers use is to incorporate a WordPress blog with their BANS sites.  This is a great way to make search engines “like” you.  I have found that search engines (especially Google) love blogs and, more specifically, WordPress blogs.  The first thing anyone should do is decide on a niche to write about and stick to it.  It is the most important aspect of affiliate marketing.  Find something you like and run with it.  Once you have an idea, you can add a system like BANS and monetize your new website.

Check out the demo site on the Build a Niche Store site.  It has a ton of original content and some eBay affiliate links second.  The demo site puts a focus on the content first.  It’s a great example of a way to make serious residual income in a way the search engines like and reward.
