For those who don’t know, Barry Sanders was arguably the best pure running back to ever play in the NFL. Sanders could make anyone miss a tackle in the open field. With Barry Sanders, third and long was a running situation. There is always the “what if” with Sanders. What if he would have been on a team that could have actually put some talent around him? What if the Lions would have at least given him a decent offensive line? Not only would his career numbers be off the charts but he could have been a part of more than a handful of playoff games.
Fast forward to today with Barry Jr. playing football. He seems to have his dad’s quick feet and elusiveness judging by highlights found on youtube. Heres hoping he makes it and is able to play for a team other than the dismal franchise that is the Detroit Lions.
